here we go...

what started in an informal conversation after the connect four alley cat is slowly becoming more and more of a reality. mike over at greencup is helping us setup a shed in the alley behind greencup to serve as a community bike shop for the birmingham city center. the goal is to provide a place for urban cyclists to repair their bikes for little to no cost through providing tools and space that the average cyclist doesn't have access to. in the next couple of weeks a lot will be developing so keep an eye on this blog for all the news.

thanks

alan

This is awesome. Truly. I was reading in Urban Velo about these spaces throughout the country and thought how great it would be if Bham had something like it. Cheers to you guys!
and, as usual, let me know what I can do to help.
